What you need for Ladybug Quiet Book page
- Black and Red felt
- One 4 inch zipper
- Red and Black sewing velcro
How to Assemble Ladybug Quiet Book Page
First, cut out shapes with template in Red and Black felt. Cut a long, thin oval in the middle of the ladybug body to insert the zipper.
Insert the zipper and sew all the way around the oval to sew in the zipper.
First, cut out six black circles using the template. Also cut six small circles (smaller than the size of the ladybug dots) out of the rough side of black sewing velcro. Sew these small velcro circles on to a piece of felt larger than the size of the ladybug dot.
Then, sew the ladybug dot circle on top of the felt where you have sewn your velcro. To watch the video process, check out my videos in IGTV account @sew.much.to.create.
Cut around dot for finished Ladybug dot as shown below.
Next, Sew on small pieces of red velcro (the soft side) to the lady bug wings. Once complete, sew on the wings to the ladybug body ONLY on the straight side.
If you would like to add antennas, cut 2 strands of elastic cord about 2.5 inches long. Insert cord through black beads.
Sew entire ladybug onto 8 inch by 8 inch fabric page, sewing in antennas if desired.
