The Best Thanksgiving Dessert

The best Thanksgiving dessert is not theĀ  pie, apple crisps, or the sweet potato dish. It’s Turkey cake pops! Not cake pops made out of turkey meat, but cake pops that look like turkeys full of personality. Not only are they super cute, but they taste amazing too! They are so festive, fun and easy to make!

How to make the Best Thanksgiving Dessert

First, bake the cake according to the package instructions. Once the cake is done, pull it out and immediately break it up with a fork. You will want the cake to be hot when you do this.

Transfer the crumbled cake into a large bowl. Mix half of your small tub of icing with the warm crumbled cake.

Your cake pops should be about this size shown below:

Now you’re ready for the fun part! Melt your Bakers chocolate in the microwave on 50% power. Microwave in 30 second increments and stir until chocolate is completely melted. I highly recommend Baker’s chocolate over chocolate melts. The Baker’s chocolate has a thinner consistency when melted which makes it much easier to dip your cake balls in.

First, dip the cake pop stick in the chocolate, then place the stick in the cake ball.

Next, dip the entire cake pop into the chocolate.

Place the candy eyes and the candy corns into the cake pop right after dipping it. Be gentle as you put in the candy corn, you don’t want to squish your cake pop too much.

Repeat process for all cake balls prepared.

Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes or more and you’ve got yourself an adorable, tasty  and fun Thanksgiving dessert!
